It’s officially Spring! As much as I love layering chunky knits and bundling up in a cozy wool coat, I have never been more ready to swap out my winter wardrobe for something new. Up until this year I had always lived in Texas where winter was no more than a few weeks of mild temperatures. I was in for quite a ride this time around when I spent half my winter in New York and the other half in Washington state. Months of snow, rain, and freezing temperatures had me really craving that Texas heat! But now that Spring is here, the temperatures are slowly beginning to warm and the sun is making occasional appearances in the sky. It’s still raining just about every day, but hey, that’s Seattle for ya!
So what were my first Spring wardrobe purchases?! Nude sandals, white jeans, and a romantic floral print blouse! Nude sandals are an absolute must for spring because they match everything! Last year I had a pair of lace up ones that I wore to death, so I replaced them with these beauties that are both comfortable and chic. These white jeans I picked up from A&F and I am telling you, THEY ARE AMAZING! I know, I sound like a crazy lady and most of you are thinking “who shops at A&F anymore?!” Well, I do because their new jeans are the bomb. I love this pair in particular for 3 reasons. First, they are stretchy and so comfortable. Second, they are mid-rise and suck everything in (plus I love the button closure). And third, they are the perfect length for short girls! I’m 5’5″, and these hit right above my ankle. Finally a pair of jeans that I don’t have to fold up or get tailored. If you look online or in stores, any of their ‘ankle jeans’ are the ones that are short-girl friendly 😉 Lastly, I picked up this flowy blouse from Nordstrom. It is so feminine and gives me total Dolce & Gabbana feels with its romantic floral print.
What’s going to be your first Spring purchase?!
