February in Seattle has been accompanied by all kinds of weather.  One moment the sun is out and the next its back to cold and rainy.  Dressing can be difficult when mother nature throws what feels like every season at you in a single day!  Here are some of the tips and tricks I use to get by during this transitional time.

1. Start with a lightweight garment – preferably with long sleeves to keep it winter appropriate

2. Incorporate a muted floral print to also make the look Spring-ready

3. Layer! Pop on a leather jacket should you need additional warmth

4. Wear weather proof accessories such as a wide-brimmed hat to act as a barrier from the rain.  Gotta protect the hair right?!

Thus far, these four steps have not failed me!  In addition, I always keep a tote in my car packed with extra essentials such as an umbrella and black flats.  This really comes in handy when the rain picks up or when I need to swap out my shoes for a pair with a little more comfort.

I hope these tips help you find some inspiration when looking through your own closet this week.  Thanks for reading!

XO, Audrey
